At the age of 13, I first stepped into my local amateur boxing club in the North of Manchester.
An old school gym with hardcore training methods, the gym was as rough as they come but the training was the business, I even remember walking into school the next morning with every muscle in my body aching, my mind was buzzing, immediately I was hooked and that very boxing gym implanted the blue print of how training is done.
At the age of 16 after many years of boxing, I then joined a local bodybuilding and strength training gym which ran alongside my boxing training, the gym was full of muscle heads from the golden era of bodybuilding, in my opinion the best era.
This is another gym that had a buzzing atmosphere and full of hardcore lifters, bodybuilders, people that were as passionate as me in the fitness industry, the knowledge I gained over the years from the professionals within the gyms was second to none.
As the years have passed I trained in many boxing and strength training gyms as I could to increase my knowledge and skillset which lead me decide to become
a qualified coach with WABBA (World Amateur Body Building Association) and a few years later, I trained as an amateur boxing coach with England Boxing.
Over the years I have trained many individuals to reach their own personal fitness goals in the quickest most efficient training using the old school methods with every individual over achieving their targets.
My mission is to bring the boxing gym I walked into when I was 13, along with the strength training gym together with the modern twist of the HIIT cardio machines along with CrossFit.
GYM13 is where the old school atmosphere is reborn, the training, the boxing, the community and not to forget the tunes that will make you work out even harder.
This isn’t the modern-day gym with the atmosphere of a doctor’s waiting room that has been flooding the fitness industry for many years, this is future of your better self!
